Introduction

We are excited to announce the release of the Alpha version of Who_U, our innovative call management application, for internal testing. This version is aimed at evaluating core functionalities, user interface, and performance before public beta release.

1. Call Blocking System

   • Block unwanted calls based on pre-defined contact lists (Emergency, Family, Favorite).

   • Schedule-based call blocking with AM/PM time selectors.

   • Automatic SMS responses for blocked calls.

2. Contact Management

   • Import and display contacts in a categorized horizontal RecyclerView (All, Favorite, Emergency, Family).

   • Add or remove contacts dynamically with real-time UI updates.

3. Group Management

   • Create and manage custom groups using a popup interface.

4. Settings Page

   • Options to configure call blocking rules, schedules, and SMS templates.

5. Automated SMS Responses

   • Default SMS: "I am busy, Tell me your introduction."

   • Configurable second SMS for repeated calls within 3–5 minutes: "I am very busy."

6. UI Enhancements

   • Modern UI with white, blue, and black themes.

   • Contact items with random colored circles and initials.

7. Performance Indicators

   • Progress bar for data fetching during heavy operations.

8. Data Persistence

   • All configurations saved in SharedPreferences for seamless user experience.

Known Issues

1. Minor UI inconsistencies on specific device resolutions.

2. Repeat call detection might have delays under heavy load.

3. Limited support for Android versions below 9 (Pie).
